Privacy Policy

ErrorDetector (errordetector.eu) is a website monitoring service operated by [YOUR LEGAL NAME / ADDRESS] ("we", "us"). This policy explains what personal data we process and why. You can reach us at support@errordetector.eu.

• Account data: name, email address, company name, hashed password, subscription tier, and billing status.
• Monitoring configuration: the URLs, hostnames and check settings you add. Credentials you store for authenticated checks are encrypted at rest.
• Monitoring results: status codes, response times, SSL/domain metadata for the endpoints you monitor, retained according to your plan (3–24 months).
• Alert destinations: email addresses, webhook URLs and Telegram chat IDs you configure as alert contacts.
• Technical logs: IP addresses and user-agent strings in security and audit logs, kept for abuse prevention.

We do not sell personal data, run third-party advertising trackers, or use your monitoring data for anything other than providing the service to you.

Payments are handled by Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe and never touch our servers. Stripe's processing is governed by its own privacy policy.

We process account and monitoring data to perform our contract with you, and security logs on the basis of legitimate interest. You can request access, correction, export or deletion of your data at any time: signed in, Settings → Download my data gives you every monitor, incident, alert contact, status page and daily uptime figure as JSON, and deleting your account from the settings page removes your data permanently. For anything else, use the contact form or email support@errordetector.eu.

A data processing agreement (DPA) under Art. 28 GDPR is available on request for business customers; ask through the contact form and we send the signed document.

These providers process personal data on our behalf, each only for the purpose listed:

• our hosting provider — runs the servers and stores the database and its backups.
• our transactional e-mail provider — sends verification, alert and report e-mails; sees the recipient address and the message.
• Stripe — payments, invoices and VAT; sees your billing details and card data (which never touch our servers).
• Domain registries and WHOIS/RDAP servers — queried with the domain names you monitor, to read expiry dates.
• DNS blocklist operators (SpamCop, PSBL, blocklist.de, DroneBL, s5h.net, GBUdb Truncate, Mailspike) — queried with the IP addresses of blacklist monitors you create; they see the address being checked and our resolver, never your account.

We add to this list before a new provider receives personal data, and note the date above.

Accounts, monitoring configuration, results and backups are stored and processed in the European Union. Monitoring checks are sent from one origin in the European Union. Stripe processes payments under its own EU and international safeguards.

Check history is kept for the period of your plan (Free 3 months, Solo 12 months, Team 24 months, Enterprise 24 months), after which it is deleted; daily uptime rollups are kept for the life of the monitor. Account data is deleted when you delete your account. Backups age out automatically.
